hi there,

I'm using uddeIM 1.6 and J1.5.10

how can I achieve that when clicking an icon the message box displays both opening and closing tags right away? and how can I prevent the close image from being shown?

eg by merely clicking the bold icon

What opening and closing tags do you mean?

sorry for being unclear. I mean the bb code opening and closing tags:

on touch of bold print icon in uddeim-bbemobox table I would like to see 'b /b' (with square brackets but the forum is swallowing it at mom) being entered into uddeim-writeform textarea; and I would like to disable the switch of image to format_bold_close.gif

You cannot change anything here, sorry.

any chance you would consider changing code in the future for that purpose? all other extensions I'm using (cb profilebook, commenting and blogging component) are working as described above

No, I like the behavior as it is.

You can also mark a text and click on the icon so both tags are set. Or only use the "open tags" and click on "close all tags". So I really see no need to do any changes here.
