module popup question

is it possible to turn off the popup notification boxes while keeping the ajax running to show the notifications in the notifier box?

I guess it would similar to the facebook type system of message notification.

Also, i should mention that no matter what i do, i can't get the popups to turn off if the user has their settings set too not show them. And yes, I went through the procedures in the FAQ.

No, I am sorry, that is not possible.

When a user turns off popup notifications in his preferences he should not longer see the popup box/floating box. I checked the code and did not find a problem.

I'll make do then. I think that would be a feature request then.

so...i've been having this issue for a little while and i'll try to explain it.

when i set the module pop up to DHTML Box, no popups show up and as side effect, tooltips that use the Overlib library show up at the top of the page instead next to the info button plus the boxes stay up at the page and doesn't move when scrolled. When i switch the module to DHTML Floating boxes, the tooltips work fine.

now, this weird tooltip error only happens in Firefox but in neither IE nor firefox do i get the popup boxes.

the error console in firefox goes crazy with this error when i have it set to DHTML boxes:

It seems that there is an conflict between CB (1.2?) and uddeIM when using overlibs on your system. Never saw this before.

Since I plan to remove DHTML popups for the next version you should try the floating box instead.

Or even better: Write an own notifier (you can use mod_uddeim as a basis) and I add this to the package since I really like to have a second one for problematic web sites.

I am using cb 1.2 stable.

For now i'm just using the floating notifier box. As i said before, ideally, have no popups and just something in the notification box in the module would be ideal for me. If i knew how to code, i would gladly do it for you
