no notification

Hi,

I have upgraded to 1.7 and i dont seem to be recieving any notification emails when i choose this setting. I tested it, sending pms to other members, but they did not recieve an email.

Obviously i made sure these where set right:
Allow e-mail notification: Yes
Default for e-mail notification: Always
E-mail contains message: Yes

Any ideas why i wont work?

You will find a checklist in the FAQ. There are several issues that cause these troubles.

When it has worked in 1.6 it should also work in 1.7 since there is no change in the notification function.

actually, the reason i upgraded it cos it didnt work in 1.5! I checked faq but cant find a solution. I get a notifiacation when a member joins, but never after that. So im sure the php settings do work. Is is something to do with the language file which is altered so it displays differently?

in the faq you mentioned that i can check if user has changed there settings in the USER LIST settings. What or where is this in the backend?

ok i think i have it working now, but i need to check if other users have the correct settings. So where is the userlist settings
