How can i setup username to email

Hello,

I'm using Joomla1.7.4 + CB1.7.1 + Kunena1.7.1 in my website. My users use email address instead of username for login. Usernames generated automatically a firstname+lastname function during registration.

There are a few users have the same firstname+lastname... So, some username conflicting with each other and he see "this username already registered" error during registration.

Is there a way to fix it?

Please update first to cb1.8 stable.
With which system do you create automatic usernames? I think there should be a possibility to choose an alternative username. If not then it's better to let the users choose themself a username.

My website using community builder for registration. I disabled username input during registration, so system create automaticaly username=firstname+lastname.

I want to visible only firstname and last name in all sections of the website's (similarly facebook) and all users can login only with e-mail address.
