Show Fields that are hidden in profile in a list

Hi all,

I want to show a field in the user list, but not on the profilepage. This is because this field is a shorter version of the field on the profilepage.

I found a topic on this forum 5,5 years old with a hack, but I prefer not to do that.

So is there a way to show a field in the userlist and not on the profilepage?
