installing the newer version did not appear to help. Could someone possibly log into my admin section and take a look? I just tried to install the newer versions (dated july 19th for CB and July 21st for CBSubs) and still cant get it to work. They both appeared to install without any problem.
You've an incomplete updated release of CBSubs. I guess you selected some plugins to update instead of the full CBSubs package. You can download the full CBSubs package in 1 click using its preset found below or from the CB Paid Subscriptions product page.

After updating the versions I am also getting a message in the main menu in SETTINGS that it is not yet saved with this version. What does that mean????? and how do I get that fixed?
It means exactly what it says. You have yet to save settings for the version of CBSubs you've installed. You only need to make a successful save every major release of CBSubs I believe. If you already have then just ignore it.
All I want to do is to enforce that people must 'subscribe' for a small fee in order to access the site. Each subscription will be for one year and only cost a small amount.
You need to do the following steps.
1) Make a paid plan that's Exclusive and has the price/duration you want.
2) Within CBSubs > Settings > Global set "Allow Free Registered Users (without subscriptions)" to "No"
That's all you have to do. They will not be able to access your site without an active subscription. If still not working please describe what is not working and PM backend super administrator login credentials for me to take a look.
