how to uninstall captcha?

If you've enabled FTP in Joomla Global Configuration, disable it. Make sure you have the latest version from Subscriber Downloads area. If you're still having problems, please post more info as indicated in my signature.

Thanks for the speedie reply Jamie. That worked and it is now installed. Now my problem is there is no picture. What is - GD: bundled (2.0.34 compatible)? and how do I check if this is the issue why I have no picture?

The sever has PHP version 5.2.9

You should see it showing in green if it is installed. If you're still having problems, can you include a screen shot of the backend parameters of your captcha setup and maybe the url of the site if it's live?

It is showing in green so that should be ok. the url is www.bamboo.org.au/ and here is the screenshot

Try enabling Joomla debug to see if you receive any errors. Also, check your server error logs or have your host check for you.

I have attached a raw server log from today which may help resolve this, I don't know what exactly to look for. Also, I have enabled debug in Joomla but what kind of error should I be looking for and where? apart from no Captcha image showing and no sound downloadable. I see another thread about no Captcha image showing for many others, I will watch that thread but should I drop this one and report my issues there? It would keep it all in one place.
