Avatar Gallery (was Avatar Matrix) beta released

i guess i could have started a new thread, but there are lots of questions answered here about building sql queries that might be instructive to people who don't have much experience in such matters.

what's the install problem?

Well first where is the download for .5? The one at the beginning of the thread says .4. WHERE'S THE LINK TO .5 DOWNLOAD???

When I installed the .5 version downloaded from extenstions.joomla.org I get "Unable to move to /media" directory...

Okay, I used Ravenswood Joomla server to create a fresh installation of joomla, then installed CB, then installed the Avatar Matrix...it all went okay.

I then looked at file destinations for the files included in the zip and mentioned in the XML:

I thought perhaps there was a typo that mentioned putting some nonexistent file in the media directory...but it looks okay...the files all ended up where they should.

I then searched for occurences of "media" in the PHP code and found that line 308 reads:

$Accumulator .= "<link rel='stylesheet' href='$mosConfig_live_site/modules/avatar_matrix/slimbox.css' type='text/css' media='screen' />" . "\n";

And that's it... But it doesn't make sense to me why this should have anything to do with installation. You're having problems just installing. Running the code hasn't happened yet...

None of the beta testers reported this, but admittedly, that wasn't many people. So at the moment, it's a mystery. Any other clues?

Sorry, I thought you'd already downloaded and installed .5, hence the error you reported.

Anyway, it's the same download as on the Joomla Extensions site: extensions.joomla.org/component/option,com_mtree/task,viewlink/link_id,1944/Itemid,35/

Mousing over the download link there gives:
www.thevisioncommunity.com/matrix5/avatar_matrix5_unzip1st.zip

I love this module!!!

I just need one more thing out of it...

you know the [value] right? Well I need at least 2 more of these, 4 or 5 [value]'s would be perfect!!

the REASON is because I have my CB users set filter parameters like 'sex', 'online only' and 'search distance'... however the search distance filter needs to run some php functions, but I will want to add a few more filters later on.

right now I only have one [value] so only the 'sex' filter is being applied.
