also, all php files in a joomla installation begin with "defined( '_VALID_MOS' ) or die", but captchaindex.php is slightly different.

Sorry for the late reply, but I was out kayaing during the weekend.

So I have only tested RC2, and t works fine. I have gotten some images that ends with double characters, and it works fine for me.

But If I allow digits as characters there is no sound (as stated) but it would be nice if the sound symbol then also dissapeared.

tested with IE7 and FF 2.0.0.3 on Win Xp.

in this case you should turn the sound off in the backend.

As for me... Can't wait :woohoo:

+ my server environment:
webserver: Apache/1.3.33 (Unix)
php version: 4.4.4
gd version: bundled (2.0.28 compatible)
freetype version: seems to be V2...

+ my client os: windows XP & Vista

+ my browser environment:IE 7, FF 2, Netscape

(cb_captcha V1 does not return pics in IE in my config)

+ my mp3 playback player:
default: media player
installed: quicktime, real, winamp...

I can do some testing for you if you like. I have 3 servers, specs and details below:

Server 1 (UK)

Dual core xeon, 2gb ram, centos Enterprise 5, WHM X v3.1.0 (Cpanel 11). Apache 1.3.37, php 4.4.7

Server 2 (NL)

AMD sempron 3200, 512mb ram, debian 3.1 with DirectAdmin

Server 3 (US)

Dual core xeon, 4gb ram, 2 x 500gb sata II, Centos 4.3, Cpanel 10
