Ok try this.
First turn off everything in CB associated with Simpleboard (in case you turned it on, which is the mistake made by the guy that started this thread)
Install fireboard - set up the example data, on the "Integration" tab of the Fireboard configuration utility, there are lots of references to CB. Turn them all on. Dont turn on Badwords filtering unless you install that component separately. It will break.
Use the CB plugin tool to install the Fireboard CB plugin. There are two to choose from.
I tested and verified this plugin which was co-authored by one of the CB developers

Install, publish, set up tab, etc. It has worked on a couple different installs.
There is another plugin that might be better at called the "Fireboard CB Plug-in" at
extensions.joomla.org/component/option,com_mtree/task,viewlink/link_id,2540/Itemid,35/
Anxious to hear if there are any opinions out there about which is better.
