i think i deleted the fireboard tab

how do i get it back and how do i make it work?

i haven't worked on my site in a long time, so i have forgotten a lot of info i gathered before. when i saw the gobbly-gook (to me) tab with all the letters and underscores, i thought deleting the tab itself would solve the problem. but it wouldn't delete unless i deleted the fields that were still referencing it. so i deleted the fields, then i was able to delete the tab.

but then i went back to figure out what exactly that was that i deleted and woops! i didn't realize what that was, but now i do...so how do i get it back?

and once its back, how do i get it so that its not gobblygook anymore but instead has readable info?

Have you simply tried to reinstall the plug? If not, you'd need to do an uninstall and/or manually delete the files/folder of the tab. Then reinstall.

That gobbledegook is default text, which you can modify.

i'm not sure its a plugin? is the fireboard tab thing a plugin or is it included in CB? and did i read it right that it still says "simpleboard" and not fb? trying to find it and i'm not finding anything but simpleboard.

It IS a plug. Fireboard and simpleboard are not the same. Reinstall the plug and that should do it. You may need to jump through some hoops if you "deleted" it somehow without "uninstalling" it.

ok well i have no idea where to even find the plugin. i didn't install it in the first place. and i keep reading that this feature is included in CB 1.1, so i'm not sure where i'd even go to look for this.

plus i have found in many posts people saying that it does say simpleboard but that you configure it for fireboard...which i went into the simpleboard plugin and i found that feature and did put it the fireboard option.

but the tab is still not showing again. obviously i'm missing a step somewhere...anyone have any ideas?

and it helped me figure out what i was missing. i went to fireboard configuration and scrolled way the heck down and found the integration section and there was a link there that said

Create Community Builder forum profile "click here"

apparently clicking that put the fields back, and then the tab worked again...woohoo!

now my next question is how to edit it so that its a readable language and not all this UE_FB_ stuff?
