Best blogging component

Just an FYI...

I had been using Joomblog on a previous system and everything worked great. However, I just migrated to a new server running the following:

Fedora Core 4
Apache 2.0.54
PHP 5.0.4
MySQL 4.1.20
Joomla! 1.0.10 Stable [ Sundown ]
Safe Mode: OFF
Magic Quotes: ON
Register Globals: OFF
Output Buffering: OFF
Session save path: /var/lib/php/session
XML enabled: Yes
Zlib enabled: Yes

It appears that Joomblog may not play well with PHP 5. I have posted questions on the Joomblog forum here:

and have sent Jonathan an email, but I haven't heard anything back. Will let you know if I get a response and how/if possible to fix the problem!!

I ended up making an edit as follows:

on administrator/components/com_joomblog/admin.upgrade.php
edit line 12

[code:1]require_once('function.compress.php');[/code:1]

changed it to

[code:1]require_once($mosConfig_absolute_path .'/administrator/components/com_joomblog/function.compress.php');[/code:1]

Does Joomblog support podcasting/ rss enclosures?

It looks good if it does support this.

I am using joomblog with CB but when i add a blog as a user it seems to dissapear - it is not listed in content to be approved etc.

it does get listed in CB profile but not published.

anyone else got this problem and solved it?

I tried Joomblog before, and it messed up my whole website. So I changed to Mamblog.

Basically what I need is a blog sistem that allows me to work with images and that has a comments system integrated.

If somebody could help me, I will be grateful.

You can set all users to author status and give them joomlacomment to add commenst to articles and blogs.

i've tried all the components out there for blogging and this was by far the easiest to set up and configure
