So in my case it is a bad plugin. The joobi 'Jnews Plugin' is bad...Shocker.

I have same problem:
I can see my users profile in backend but when i try to update their profile by administrator access and press save button nothing happen!

Same problem. it was working fine until yesterday. i dont know which plugin is interfering or what is happening. i click update and the page just keeps on loading.
