I receive the same error...

When I try to upload com_comprofiler.zip I receive the next error:

Upload package file
There was an error uploading this file to the server.
Unable to find install package

Install from directory
Please enter a package directory
Unable to find install package

I am doing the installation local. Last version of WAMP installed, joomla 1.6

Great point! Kymmy

As Kymmy said in another post:

Kymmy wrote: As the component is now larger than 2048Kb you'll probably find that you have 2Mb set as your maximum PHP upload size. (which seems to be a common default) just raise that up and restart your http server. Hopefully that should cure your problem

Thanks Kymmy

In your joomla root directory, edit your php.ini to say:
Code:
upload_max_filesize = 16M
