Joomla 1.6 + CB 1.4 -> Fatal error: Out of memor

13 years 6 months ago #159634 by massimolivio
I'm trying to install Community Builder (joomlapolis) v 1.4 on Joomla 1.6

Jommla 1.6 works fine
Install of CB 1.4 was fine
But when I try to finalize installation I need to access the configuration of CB.
Here I always get this problem..

Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 17825792) (tried to allocate 98 bytes)/libraries/joomla/language/language.php on line 673

or
Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 17825792) (tried to allocate 122880 bytes) in /libraries/joomla/application/module/helper.php on line 342

My Hosting service says :
>> Our php memory_limit is set to 256M, which should be more than enough to support any script. I would recommend contacting Joomla for support <<

Any help ?

Many thanks in advance

Your host should really look at the message again.

You are only getting 18M.

Tell you host that Joomlapolis.com says:

>> Please look at the error message before replying to your clients.

The ansmwer from my hosting is
"Contact them and mention that you are on a server using Litespeed Web Server + PHP 5.2.17"
Does Community Builder support Litespeed Web Server ?

Hate getting into a discussion with such a hosting provider ..

I wrote a nice article here:

magazine.joomla.org/issues/Issue-Dec-2010/item/295-Are-you-getting-your-fair-share-of-PHP-memory

Please use this script to demonstrate to check what memory you are actually getting.

I am willing to bet it is not 256M as your hoster states.

When you verify this just give the information to your hosting team.

Well You have lost a bet... See attatched file which shows memory is what they say.
BUT the matter seems to be a different one:
I'm on a LiteSpeed webserver
And I guess there's nothing to avoid this matter since it seems CB is not working on such a fast server.

Am I wrong ?

Sorry, I do not believe that I have lost any bet.

Send me a private message with your ftp access and backend joomla access and I will prepare a documented response for you hoster.
