Error installing CB Comprofiler was created by Daylight
Hi,

Not sure if there is paid support where someone can just fix the problem for me. Anyhow.. the issue is that when I install the CB Comprofiler.zip I get the normal installed successful stuff but above it is an error box saying "Error Building Admin Menus". Sure enough all the modules show up but nothing is in the component menu. It does show in my database as being there. When I check PHPMYADMIN there are comprofiler files that came with my current template, user files etc. Wondering if I need to delete these for the CB file to install properly so that it can be used? Any ideas?

My template would not load properly and so monster template had a source dump file that added hero_ instead of the josh_ in the PhpMyAdmin. Wondering if I did a fresh install of CB on a new joola and copied over the josh_menu file if that would fix it or add the cb manually in phpmyadmin with the new install settings?

I just read the entire readme file and this issue is not addressed in the file. The last thing I mentioned was about the Logout Action which is addressed but that is the least of the problem. The main issue is that CB is not showing up in the Components menu and I get the error message "Error Building Admin Menus". I did not see any info on this in the readme file. I am not sure if I need to make a change to a josh_ menu file or if there is something in the installer folder I need to edit. Either way, I need CB to show in the components tab and it is not. Can you help with this problem?

Thanks,

J

Sorry, I read too quickly.

You are obviously using Joomla 1.6 (please make sure its 1.6.3).
Looks like something has messed up your database.
Best approach is to reinstall from scratch is possible (dropping the database).

Problem is that I had other issues with template that were worked out by template maker and if I do a new install will have the same issues again. I am going to try and add the component to the menu through phpmyadmin. That is possible isn't it?

I'm guessing your template is probably the cause of your problems in the first place. Have you tried using a default template to see if that's the issue?
