Depending on your situation, you can use the CB Global pending approval message to send the confirmation link as an interim fix. For CB Subs it appears to be fired after a user is activated, but it works just as well, enabling and confirming users.

CB Configuration Manager > Registration > Pending Approval Email

Just use [CONFIRM] somewhere in your pending approval email (or in the language file definition if you're using it).

For example:

Your plan has been activated, but you must confirm your email before logging into the site. Click the link to do this:

[CONFIRM]

Sincerely,

Your Site

I'm not sure if CB uses this as the default for sending the confirmation link, so this may not be helpful-- but I hope it is, as it's working for me.
