2 mails on registration?

i have searched for hours now and i only see solutions from 2-4 years ago... no one is solving my problem

So when i add a new user the user get's 2 mails with details.
mail 1)
subject: New User Details
footer text: Please do not respond to this message as it is automatically generated and is for
information purposes only.

mail 2 the one i want to keep and is the one i custumized with the CB configuration page)
subject: same but my websitename is added in front
footer text: NOTE: This email was automatically generated from MYWEBSITE


How to STOP the mail #1? i have looked at the plugin manager and checked users -Joomla! (disable send new users mail or something) but that plugin is not even published... did i not needed that to be disabled when i use CB? (else it is a other plugin that forced me to disable "users - Joomla!" plugin.... but that cannot be a problem... if it is DISABLED it cannot send mails, right?)?



So... i am lost and i don't know where to look now... i hope someone can help me :huh:

Problem is even WORSE... i set the password to be generated on auto-pilot.... the 2 mails contain 2 different passwords.... my o my

i only see the trick you gave me. Done it couple times with the plugin on and off (the regular plugin: users - Joomla!)
