[SOLVED] Send email if date field value is equal to today

Is there any way, maybe with some CB Incubator plugin, to send out an e-mail if the value in a date field is equal to today.

That's my case:

Date field: 25/12/2011

So when Christmas arrives, an e-mail is sent out to one or more e-mail addresses.

Is that possible?

Yes this is possible. You'll need CB Auto Actions and to create an Email action. You'll need to use the below condition.

[cb:date format="Y-m-d" /] Equal To 2011-12-25

What trigger you use is up to you, but you may want to try and add other conditions to ensure it only sends out 1 time otherwise you could end up spamming users like crazy.

The above also does not require a field to accomplish. If you want to compare against a field then you could use the below for example.

[cb:date format="Y-m-d H:m:s" /] Equal To [cb_datefield]

Ufter upgraded to CB Auto Actions 2.2.3 no e-mails are sent out. A bug?

CB Auto Actions 2.3.0 is latest, please upgrade. Am not aware of any email sending bug.
