[SOLVED] Coupons and Taxes Problem

Hi Beat,

have installed the latest CBS build as you sent to me by email - and then undertook the same standard test and unfortunately the zero tax is still there as soon as I apply a discount coupon. There is more information showing but the result is still wrong. See attached:



Note that I have CB 1.8.0RC2 installed rather than the latest stable version.

I will send you ftp access as requested privately.

Ok, thank you, will look into this issue further today.

The FTP credentials you sent don't work (tried FTP, SFTP and FTPS).

And now, thanks to the trials to access FTP, I can't work anymore on your issue, that I can't reproduce locally:

Your connection to this server has been blocked in this server's firewall.

You need to contact the server owner for further information.

Can you please do something to unblock my IP ?

Responded to both messages by email, including with tested ftp settings and advice that I have requested the firewall block to be lifted and would expect this to be done within the next 30 minutes.

Just to follow up here in case someone else has this issue, please let us know:

After several sessions of troubleshooting entire half-days at a time, it appears that this issue seems related to a problematic hosting server running an outdated unsupported PHP release. We are now waiting for the hoster to update his server, so that we can confirm that it fixes it.

To report back, the problem was tracked back, due largely to persistent testing/investigation by Beat, to the presence of Zend Optimiser in our shared host's (PHP v5.2.17) server environment. When this was disabled (which the host was able to set at an account level), the coupon/tax script conflict disappeared.
