So, Friend Request would be sent through Joomla email?

But Private Mails would be send through Udde-IM?

CB Connections sends a PM to the user about their connection request. UddeIM is then notifying them about that PM via email. Disable that email notification and they won't receive the email anymore and just receive the PM.

You can configure how CB Connections notifies a user within CB > Configuration > Connections and adjust the parameter "Notification Method" as necessary.

There is no "Configurations" tab; there is a "Friends" tab, where the Notification Method can be chosen.

However, I would prefer that the user be notified by eMail for Friend Requests. Is there anyway to fix this issues, so emails are sent as HTML and those characters like "\n", "\b", etc. are not shown in the Friend Request emails?

Kyle means the CB Configuration Connections tab (backend Community Builder -> Configuration).

Just know these special characters issue from GroupJive and UddeIM... isn´t it a similar issue?
I was told to configure ...

UddeIM -> Messages -> "Allow BB code tags" -> "YES"

That's possible as the BBCode in his email doesn't seam translated. We've no idea his configuration still so we've no idea what email is sending. If connections notify method is set to PMS then it's UddeIM sending an email notification otherwise if set to Email then it's CB sending the email.
