CB Connect is pulling the large image. You can see it adding it to the list of fields in cbconnect.class.php on line 1439.

FBC also retrieves the large image. You can find it doing so on line 954. I can only process what Facebook decides to give me. If for whatever reason they fail to provide the large image then whatever is provided is processed.
