The connections page isn't a normal CB tab or anything of the sort. It's called a component plugin page and CB Conditionals can do nothing to it. You can't hide manage connections either unless you edit it out of the plugin or use CSS to hide it. The Connections tab on profile view is a normal tab however and you can conditionally display it however you need.

Thanks for viewing and reading this thread.
You may have noticed my lines about the J! access level parameter. I mean the access setting in the plugins parameters. Does this setting have any effect? Especially on the CB menu link "manage connections" ?

Comparable to my last tests with "Template changer"...
I can control the access/visibility with the plugins access parameter. No need for CBconditional.

Shouldn't CBmenu also respect this plugin parameter?

Normally that would be the case, but CB Connections isn't rendering the menu links as CB Menu is (which isn't checking that CB Connections is accessible). Manage Connections is also rendered by the core CB and not CB Connections. As you can tell it's in need of some rewriting so it is planned to completely rewrite the connections from the ground up.

Understood. I am still having troubles just hiding the "quick and dirty way" for one field type:

I am trying this in the CSS:

[cb:if cb_yourgroupname="group1"]
cbMenu_UE_MENU_MANAGEMYCONNECTIONS { display: none; }
[/cb:if]

where cb_yourgroupname = either Group A or Group B
and "group 1" = "Group B"

What is the name of your CB "group" field?
What are your exact values/groupnames in your CB field ?
