Profile Link PN after upgrade to 1.9.0 defect

Profile Link PN after upgrade to 1.9.0 defect was created by herzenssache
Hi Team,

the issue has been reported here:
www.joomlapolis.com/forum/25-uddeim-plugin-and-component/214067

The thread seems inactive, so I contacted Stephan by mail. Stephan informed me that there is supposed to be a solution with regards to a SEF setting. I searched, but could not find it.
Could you shed some light on this issue and how to sort it? It seems to have to do with CB 1.9.0.

Thank you,
Matthias

I've no idea what solution or SEF setting you're referring to, but on J3.0 UddeIM 2.8 produces the below error and assume it's just not J3.0 ready yet.

Fatal error: Call to undefined method JRegistry::getValue() in components/com_uddeim/uddeimlib25.php on line 160

Can you be more specific as to what Joomla version you're using?

Thank you Kyle,

sorry for not posting the info straight away:

Running J 2.5.8
CB 1.9.0 with GJ2.5.3rc2

All works fine - except the issue linked in the first post.
Needless to say it is difficult for members to send PNs right now.

The profile link used is:
v2.6 - Displays a link to uddeIM compose message page in the profile. When the plugin is "public" it calls the public frontend (when enabled).
Ordner / Datei: user/pms.uddeim.profilelink.php

Thank you,
Matthias

That's the plugin included with UddeIM, but it is out of date. Please upgrade to UddeIM 2.8 and see if the problem persists. The parameter he was referring to probably isn't in 2.6.

Thank you Kyle,

I downloaded the new package and will upgrade shortly. If it works I will report back to both threads.

Thank you,

Hi Kyle,

I just upgraded to UddeIM 2.8.
The problem is still there.

I was able to do some more testing and found the following things:
If I navigate to a profile of someone using e.g. "userlist" the path looks like this:
domain.org/mycbprofile/userprofile/kyle.html
The profile link PN Path is then:
domain.org/mycbprofile/userprofile/index.php?option=com_uddeim&task=new&recip=1694&Itemid=654

However it should look like this in order to work:
domain.org/index.php?option=com_uddeim&task=new&recip=1694&Itemid=654

So somehow with the upgrade to 1.9 the "mycbprofile/userprofile/" is now showing up in the profile link.

Any idea how to force the plugin or to tweak the db to show the correct path?
No 3rd party SEF is in use. Just standard Joomla 2.5.8 SEF turned on.

thank you,
Matthias
