No avatars was created by derekk
I reported a ticket but was also told to "Please note that you should post your support requests on the Joomlapolis Professional forums."

I can not get avatars to show in the CB profile or in the Kunena forum

My history is installed CB pro over top of existing CB using CB quickstart.

I did the default install no packager and no mods at all.

I have latest Kunena and I am using a Kunena custom template.

I followed all the tutorials picture books(I did notice in your kunena picture book you refer to an integration tab in Kunena that does not exist anymore?) I reread the docs and scoured the forums.

I can see avatars in the CB Gallery module but not in profile or Kunena.
Is the path different?

Please perform the below configuration steps and you should have CB integrated completely with Kunena.

Joomla Backend > Components > Kunena Forum > Kunena Plugins

Once at the above location you need to enable "Kunena - Community Builder Integration".

Joomla Backend > Components > Community Builder > Plugin Management > Forum integration

Once at the above location you need to ensure "Forum component:" is set to "Kunena" and ensure "Published:" is set to "Yes". Now click "Save".

If all the above is done exactly as instructed you should have the two completely integrated properly and should see CB avatars, etc.. within Kunena.

Ensure the avatar field is on a tab that's public and published. Also try editing the Kunena CB plugin to ensure it's set to integrate avatars.

the tab is portrait and it is public and published you can see the tab in the frontend when you edit your profile it will upload an image.

The problem is all the previous users avatars do not show up in profile or Kunena

There is a plugin in Kunena "Plug-in Manager: Kunena - Kunena Integration" with basic options : Enable Kunena Avatars No/Yes Enable Kunena Profiles No/Yes

I turned these to No because I want avatars from CB to show in cb profile and kunena forum, is that correct?

The pdf gives you the field structure of the comprofiler table.

You can see there is an avater column.
This has to be populated with the relevant filename for each user.

If you have migrated like this before then you ust have certainly encountered such an issue.

Perhaps you should use CB Juice - I believe it supports this.

As I see you have a parallel forum post going I will follow that one with Kyle - no need to have 2 separate efforts.

We are here to help you !

Best Regards,
Nick

Nick I was instructed to post to the forum too.

Thats why I asked for clarification above it did not make sense to post in both unless you thought it was better to have two heads than one.

"If you have migrated like this before then you ust have certainly encountered such an issue."
No I never had this issue with avatars nor encountered populating the avatar column.

Are you suggesting I export all the avatar columns from the live site and import them into the dev site using phpmyadmin?

I dont understand how what I am doing is so unusual or atypical.

Anyone who migrates from Joomla 1.5. to 2.5 is under these circumstances, given that there must be a step by step to ensure the avatars get moved as well. Or has this changed ?

I started out my upgrade using CB Quickstart PRO 1.1 and purchased it because it stated and yes I am paraphrasing this was simple, seamless and Kunena compatible.
