[SOLVED] profile view doesn't show was created by marceff
I'm having some trouble when, after logging in, select "profileView."
The result is a completely blank page (in FireFox and Safari) or this message appears:
server error

The website encountered an error while retrieving www.socialsailing.eu/index.php/en/profile-view . It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this webpage later.
HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was Attempting to Fulfill the request.

(only in Chrome)
Same thing if I go into ProfileEdit or if within a group.
Has anyone ever experienced something similar?

Please follow FAQ advise and check your error logs and also turn on max joomla debugging and see if more messages are displayed.

It seems that removing the publication of the Profile / book / blog / wall and Connection, ProfilePreview page opens but as I enable even one of them, the blank page comes back.
Where could be the conflict?

If you turn on Joomla debug at maximum level you should see more messages instead of a blank page.

I did it and showed the following message:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 491520 bytes) in /www/MW_qXqPRGyXG/socialsailing.eu/modules/mod_maximenuck/helper.php on line 426

but it seems unlikely to have run out of memory. The site has just started the construction phase and has little content.
If I take into consideration the message of Joomla, I should contact my host and get a memory upgrade from 64 to 128 mb after just 3/4 days before the start of the construction site!
Rather, first to have this problem I have installed Kunena forum but I immediately turned off. Could have caused the problem?

Depends on the Joomla version really. Over the years and releases Joomla has become larger and larger. For example J1.0 or J1.5 can run on very little memory and is fine on very minimal shared hosting packages. J2.5 and J3.0 are heavy and can consume up to 30mb all on their own with no extensions. You then add in full fledged extensions like CB and Kunena and you push that limit further. You then add in CB plugins and it goes up more. Then modules, then.. etc.. the point being the more you install the more chances of this happening as you're going to consume more memory.

With that said there are some cases where there is a loop in PHP causing memory to consume at rapid pace and the only way to debug that is to profile it with xdebug so you know exactly what and where the massive consumption took place. If that's not an option then simply enable/disable extensions 1 by 1 and watch the memory consumption with Joomla debug is enabled increase/decrease to see how much memory each extension consumes.

In all fairness the error is coming from a 3rd part module, but that does not mean the module caused it; it just means the module tried to use some memory when there was none (it tried to use 0.4mb so not much).
