You can try setting it to 128mb, it's currently set to 64mb based off the error. That or do as instructed in my previous post to see what's consuming a large amount of memory and disable it.

krileon, I probably expressed myself wrong but I already have set to 128 mb (so my host said to me) and I'am to get 256 mb tomorrow.
But please see what just happened to my site: www.socialsailing.eu

Just looked at my email box and the host has upgraded to 256 mb; could this upgrade cause the "Strict Standard..." mess?

Furthermore: upgrading did NOT solve the problem; try to click to ProfileView and see...

It's not set to 128MB. 67108864 bytes = 64MB. My guess is they didn't setup PHP.ini properly for Joomla. Typically PHP.ini needs to be in Joomla root and root/administrator for it to apply to frontend and backend.

Just looked at my email box and the host has upgraded to 256 mb; could this upgrade cause the "Strict Standard..." mess?

No, if you're getting strict standards warnings then you're on PHP 5.4 or error reporting is set to report all errors in PHP.ini. I don't recommend upgrading to PHP 5.4 yet. Have your host set you to PHP 5.3.

Hi Krileon and Nant,

256 mb php memory has been upgraded (although the Joomla info php appears to still be 64mb). However, the problems seem to be solved.

But now I can not get the configuration GroupJive which shows as a blank page .... why?
Neither debugging joomla me any errors. What could it be?

Just noticed that at Tools section a warning says that "Forum category is missing" and "Configuration" link (which takes me to a blank page). Yesterday I tried to load Kunena forum, then after php memory problems I had deleted.

Host fault, they did not enabled backend memory !!

Interesting... I had the same problem!
I have been working with and using Joomla & CB since the early Joomla 1.0 days!
So, I am not a programmer, but I handle this stuff pretty easy now.

I have a totally new installation, og Joomla 2.5.8 (installed yesterday).
I have NO other components installed, or plugins etc etc. TOTALY NEW!

However, no matter how much I have tried to get this working, it refused, only giving a blank page.
I looked at the Blank Page link here, but nothing there was addressing this problem for me.

I was just about to write a desperate message here, and then I thought, wait a sec', and then I tested using a default template in the Joomla installation. (This is a lamer actually).
YES, I had a template installed, but it didn't occur to me that it could be that causing the trouble!
But yes, it was! The Joomla Beez template worked, but the installed one didn't.

This was one of those paid templates from mixwebtemplates.
I have used this template easily on a Joomla 1.5 installment, so it didn't occur to me that this could be the route of the problem, creating a conflict. But, seems it was.

So it wasn't any memory problem or PHP version etc etc, or some other cryptic thing. At least not for me. :)
