When any user tries to email any other user in the site by going to their profile and selecting messages/send email, this error (Session timed out. Your email failed to send! Please try again.) is immediately given. It does not seem like an actual timeout, as it is instantaneous.

I have searched and seen a few other threads on this exact issue, but no resolutions to the problem.

CB 1.9

Enable debug mode and maximum error reporting in Joomla global configuration then try again to expose any errors. If issue persists you can try disabling spoof checking within CB > Configuration > Integration.

I have actually already disabled spoof checking based on that same suggestion in one of the other threads I mentioned, with no difference. I will try to enable maximum error reporting and see what comes up. Thank you.

okay, odd occurrence... with debug mode enabled, no matter how error reporting is set, the email sends fine and I get no errors to debug. As soon as I disable debug mode, the email fails to send again.

That's pretty strange. Are you using a plugin like CB Public Mail to alter the profile mail feature? Are you using CB Captcha for profile mail? If yes on either try disabling both and see if issue persists. Also test with default Joomla template to help rule out template conflicts.

Great. Yes - disabling the template makes the email work just fine. so now I have to find out what in the template is interfering with it, and why enabling debug mode fixed it.
