You won't see a registration. The registration is done silently before the pop-up closes. If you watch carefully you'll see the pop-up change URLs very quickly and that's when it does the registration and login when it closes the page is reloaded and you should be logged in. If not something occurred server side failing to retrieve your data. Does your browser allow cookies? As perhaps this could be a cause of the problem.

However, if there is an issue it should be reported to the browser console. You need to enable debug mode in Joomla global configuration. Then navigate to your sites frontend and for example in Chrome press F12. Now click the "Console" tab and right click in the console and click "Preserve log upon navigation". Now give it a try and you should see any problems reported there.

I cannot see you registered either in the backend of my website, did you delete the profile again as soon as you had registered?

Yes, as they're my personal accounts I am deleting them immediately after testing.

Ok, looks like some browsers (IE only in my tests) are having issues with the variables being set for the popup window. Am looking into it to fix in a bug fix release (today hopefully). Chrome and FF appear to be working fine in my tests however.

agreed both Chrome and FF are also working for me now, looks like we have narrowed it down to an IE issue.
Thanks for being patient with me, at least we are getting the mystery solved... :-)

Thanks again

Ok, I've installed a fixed release (tested working Chrome, FF, and IE). Please give it a test and see if it's working for you now. Permission error should be gone now as well.

Thank you for helping me find this critical issue. This is an excellent find and I deeply appreciate all the help you've been.

It's a strange issue, because it's acting as if there's a cross domain problem, but it isn't cross domain as the page that the social site redirects to is on your domain. I've changed it so the parent window, instead of the popup, contains the variables and appears to have resolved it.

Your new version of cb connect seems to have resolved the issue with IE, excellent.
I will test it in more depth on IE and see if I run into any other issues

Thanks again, great support
