The access parameter is a single usergoup and all its children. You can't select only 1 usergroup and have access apply to just that usergroup as its children are always included. For example if you select Registered then Author, Publisher, etc.. can also access it.I've create a new Category with the setting you can see in my new screenshot.

No, you need to have at least 1 category to place groups in. You can link directly to that category instead of the overview page if you wanted though.Is it possible avoid Categories, only using Groups?
