When I post a reply, the text editor in always displayed at the top. When I have several replies it's not good to scroll up to find the editor area, also if I'm not confident with that system and I could not understand where I should write my reply.

Is there a way to move the editor text area always over the last reply and auto scroll till that point. At least leave it at top and auto-scroll up.

Thanks

At this point, no. It'll be redesigned later with a Modal window (in-page popup) to avoid any scrolling at all or using in-line editor. For now it's functioning as intended and currently can not be moved due to a form being used to display the posts and a form being used to post a new wall entry and you can't have a form within a form so it would need to be completely redesigned. Note it should already be auto-scrolling to the new post form.

Not in my case. It just open the form at the top and no scroll-up. Javascript conflict?

ADD

I've done some local tests and I've found that using JCE editor I have this issue. Removing JCE Editor it correctly scroll me at the reply form.

Maybe a bug..?

ADD

It seems that the conflict is related to this JCE file components/com_jce/editor/libraries/js/editor.js

You'll need to contact JCE for support as I've no idea what's wrong with JCE. It commonly has problem and throws JS errors unfortunately. Perhaps just a configuration issue in JCE? Maybe try disabling certain editor buttons? No editor and TinyMCE are tested working.

Just for your info. Tested with TinyMCE as well, but on long pages it only scrolls up about ten posts and editor still isn't visible. Behaviour with JCE is exactly the same BTW.

Enable debug mode and maximum error reporting in Joomla global configuration. Once done click the Reply button and see if there are any fatal JS errors in the error console. If there are then it'll break the auto scroll. Aside from that I don't know, it maybe bugged, but if it is it's already fixed in next release (next release also has a Modal popup instead of needing to scroll at all; this is optional of course).
