It appears from complaints I have received that if a member of this site looses his/her password and tries to get a new one, that the site resets the password but does not send the email with the new password

Joomla version? CB version? What browser are they using? Are you able to duplicate the issue? Please be sure you're testing with a standard registered user. Note administrators can not reset their passwords for security purposes and must be changed from backend.

You're adding contents to your ticket that the server is seeing as a threat. This is common when trying to paste large chunks of code or the full error message with your ticket. It's best to attach error messages as a text file.

Site is Joomla 2.5.11, CB- 1.9, I am using firefox and yes I can duplicate the problem. I have tried two users that are 'member' status.

The ticket I tried to open this am had no error messages, no code, no files. Just simple text.

What exactly happens when trying to reset a password (error, redirect, doesn't even submit)? Please ensure debug mode and maximum error reporting is enabled within Joomla global configuration so errors will expose.

The ticket I tried to open this am had no error messages, no code, no files. Just simple text.

Strange, server may have been down at the time. I don't know as I don't manage the tickets. At any rate it doesn't matter as am already helping you here. :)

From the home page the user clicks 'Forgot Login?' under the log in button.
User then checks 'lost password'.
User fills out user name and email address then clicks 'Send Password'.
User gets screen message the password has been reset and email has been sent.
Problem is that no email is sent but the password is now different. (I know because I tested it on a known account).
If you like I will set you up with a temp member account. Just send me a valid email address for your account

I see, so forgot login is working, but the email is never sending. Do emails work at all for your site? As in are Pending/Welcome emails sending fine after registration? Please try using CB > User Management, select the user, and click Mass Mailer to send them an email and see if they receive it. Please have them check their spam folder as perhaps the email is being pushed to spam folder.
