Please understand what you are using is not a Filter. You're using Sort By. That just sorts the userlist. It does not filter it down in any way. Also I have a user list called "All BUG Members" which I previously had filtered for "Last online" for the simple reason that I wanted it to look as if something is happening on the Site.
When I remove this filtering and add "Tools of trade" Asc insteadā¦
Ascending order gives shows a the "Empty Fields first and then after 55 pages the Alphabetical listing kicks in! I am looking at the filtering options and guessing that there is a way to filter the empty fields out of the selection but am not sure how.
Is it possible to address this issue using a simple filter!
Or do I need to take the advance route!
The manual says about advanced filtering
"In order to take full advantage of the Advanced filter builder knowledge of SQL is needed."
Is this the case?
Sort By is direct addition to the database query as ORDER BY. So if you sort by 2 fields at once it'll first sort the results by your first Sort By then sort the newly sorted list by your second Sort By. So I'm not sure what results you're expecting, but you may want to keep this in mind when adding multiple Sort By.Further I am not sure how it works when I add another filter e.g. sort by "How Long"
Like how is the list sorted then. By the first Item that turns up on the list.
i.e. "Tools of trade"
and "How Long" is effectively ignored!
Like it is after all a list!?!
You can either have the search expanded by default or "List All" displayed by default. To have either/or just use one of the URLs found at the top of your userlist while editing it in CB > List Management.PS I at least have the Search part figured out now. So I am wondering if there is a way to get to the Members page with the Search options already showing instead of Having to see the "Search Users" button dialogue and then Click it. Actual ideal would be in a little box somewhere. i.e. Search Module that I can position with the Search Criteria I have. "Tools of Trade" and "How Long"
It's a Joomla plugin and needs to be installed through Joomlas extension manager. The CB Search Bot allows searching of CB users using Joomla search module. It is completely separate from CB Userlists and has no form of filter/sorting.PPS I am looking into this now
Joomla 2.5/3.0 CB Search plugin version 1.0.1
But it is giving me the following error when installing via CB Plugin Manager
ERROR: Could not find a CB XML setup file in the package.
