setting up a blog using cb blog plugin

setting up a blog using cb blog plugin was created by sj_polanco
i just installed the cb blog plugin.
I am trying to set up a blog on my website for the first time. there are no directives on how to proceed.
i went to plugin management and opened the cb blog it gives the option to create new blog however the drop down for category which is a required field is not working. are there other steps i am missing?
Could someone provide tips for setting up a blog using cb blog plugin and adding it to an existing website.
thanks

Please see the below topic on configuring CB Blogs.

www.joomlapolis.com/forum/255-developer-members-support/222969-cb-blogs-not-working#234973

This is resolved with next release of CB Blogs (it's part of CB core now) as it'll default to Internal and have some default categories setup already.

are there pre-installed templates that comes with cb for blogs that one could choose from or does one need to download them independently from cb sites.

the CB Blog > config tab has the following info below:

Select template to be used for all of CB Blogs. If template is incomplete then missing files will be used from the default template. Template files can be located at the following location: components/com_comprofiler/plugin/user/plug_cbblogs/templates/

when i click the drop down there is only default for an option

CB Blogs does not come with any templates other than default. You can modify the default or create your own within the template directory found below.

components/com_comprofiler/plugin/user/plug_cbblogs/templates/

thanks
i was able to locate the directory using filezilla. usually template installation is done by uploading whatever template one has purchased or downloaded via joomla extension manager. since cb blog has its own folder. do i still need to install the template using extension manager or just unzip it directly into the components/com_comprofiler/plugin/user/plug_cbblogs/templates/ ?

Unzip what? No templates for CB Blogs exist except the default template included with it. If that directory doesn't exist then CB Blogs is not installed. CB Blogs template system is drop-in based. You just add the folder and files to the templates directory, select the template from configuration, and it'll use it.
