Line 555 of plug_cbblogs/models/k2.php is where the saveBlogEdit function begins. This handles the POST data being pushed to the K2 object for saving. Then on line 89 of templates/default/blog_edit.php is roughly where you can add a new block of code similar to the others above and below that line to add a new edit input.

No, once we've trigger routing it'll be possible to do this using CB Auto Actions as we'll be routing Joomla triggers to CB triggers or something similar to that affect.

Trigger routing? Don't know at this time. It's not a high priority right now. Once we've completed our current tasks we'll review what's next. If not in 2.0 then probably 2.1.
