CB 2.0 Stable Release was created by stuntlist
Hi,

Our client has been using CB and CBSubs for years. We have his website all redesigned for Joomla 3 but can't proceed until CB 2 is ready, CBSubs is compatible with it and some of the plugins work with CB2. Our client is on the verge of going ballistic because we can't deliver him our newly redesigned Joomla 3.0 site.

Please stop adding new features until you have a stable version that people can use. After that people can wait for new features to be added. The important thing right now is to be able to use CB2 on a live production website.

Do you have any idea when a stable version will be ready. We need to be able to tell the client something other than it will be ready when it is ready.

Thank you.

CB 2.0 is not production ready. Do not use it for production sites. We have stressed this with every CB 2.0 Beta release until Stable.

Please stop adding new features until you have a stable version that people can use. After that people can wait for new features to be added. The important thing right now is to be able to use CB2 on a live production website.

We have a roadmap and ticket list for CB 2.0 stable. All tasks will be completed before going Stable. You can find it below. Please note the list is subject to change (additions and/or subtractions).

When it's done. Use CB 1.x then upgrade when CB 2.0 goes Stable. There's no reason to jump into CB 2.0 for a production site right now as none of our plugins are compatible with it. All plugins need new compatibility releases, which will be done after CB 2.0 goes Stable.

Hi,

The whole problem is that CB 1.9.1 does not work properly with Joomla 3.x, that is why we need a Stable version of CB 2.0 so we can use it on a live Joomla 3.x site.

We use CB lists extensively, and they do not work consistently on Joomla 3. There are menu routing issues. For example I have 3 different CB User Lists, I have set them all up as External URL menu items and put the CB List "URL for menu link to this list:" link in the URL field. The first list gives me a URL of: domain.com/west-members-male and the second one gives a URL of: domain.com/component/comprofiler/userslist/west_female_members?Itemid=478 the third one give a URL of: domain.com/component/comprofiler/userslist/west_members?Itemid=28 . The first link doesn't return the proper list results, but the second and third do. These issues are show stoppers for upgrading the clients website.

So, I can't stress enough that you need to put features on hold until you have a stable version that people can upgrade to.

Thank you.

Copy the below folder from CB 2.0 to CB 1.9.1 and you'll have Internal userlist menu items with List ID parameter again.

FROM (2.0):
components/com_comprofiler/views/userslist/
TO (1.9.1):
components/com_comprofiler/views/

This is not cross-compatible with Joomla 1.5, which is why we couldn't implement it into CB 1.9.1.

You may need to copy over all the views (excluding pluginclass) and remove the metadata.xml file in components/com_comprofiler/ so Joomla 3.0 won't pick it up over the views. Can't recall which Joomla looks for first.

Hi Kyle,

That is great, if only it worked. I now have the parameters to select what list to use and whether to show the search only, list only or both in the Userlist menu item. But the menu item doesn't work after you set it up, i.e. the userlist isn't displayed.

See this page: test.stuntlist.com/west , in the right sidebar > Performer Listings the button that has "Female CB" is setup with a CB Userlist menu item with an id of 11. When you click the button you get the error message:
"Please log in or register to view or modify your profile."
rather than the user list being displayed. You should only get the message above when you go to view a particular person's profile page, not on the user list page. If you click the "Female" button you get the userlist showing, which is what should show when you click the "Female CB" button. "Female" is an external URL menu item with the Userlist link for list id 11.

If I do login and then click the "Female CB" button I get a 404 error.

I did have to copy over all of the views and rename the /components/com_comprofiler/metadata.xml file in order to get the menu views to work correctly.

We really appreciate your help with this, as it is critical to get this site working and ready to go live in June.

Please let me know if you have any other ideas on how to get the lists to work or if you need admin/ftp access to the site.

Thank you again for your help on this.

I too am in a similar position. I am building a site for a sporting organisation that runs a number of representative sporting tournaments and we have approximately 20 Divisions based on Gender, age e.g. (Mens 35-40, Mens 40-45, Mixed (Men > 45 Women >35) etc). We run a State Titles, IntraState and National tournaments, so we select players from the State Titles to feed into the Intrastate and then feed on to the National teams.

We use JoomSport to manage our Game Fixtures, and I purchased CB because of its awesome features and use Auto Actions extensively, including allocating a Team_ID (created in JoomSport) into a cb_field. So the Selectors, will after every tournament use CB to allocate players into the Next Tournament (From Intrastate -> National)

I have built the site on Joomla 3.3

Therefore Our Selectors have to choose from around 500+ players, so I wanted to create a number of Lists for each Age Group so that our selectors dont have to scroll through 500 Players.

I want to use multiple lists both public and for registered users, so I removed the User List selection bar from my CSS.

I am in the same boat where 1 List routes correctly but after duplicating that Age List to make another and allocating a External URL Menu Item to it, the system returns the default User List.

I downloaded CB 2.0 beta 4 and found the Userlist folder and uploaded that to my site, but it doesn't seem to make a difference.
