fields side by side

Hello,

I want to position two or three fields in the profile view (and the profile edit view) side by side in one line. For example the Zip Code and the location fields should appear in one line. How can I realise that? I haven't foud any solution.

Take a look at delimiter field and CB substitutions.

You can use HTML in a delimiter field and grab cb field data using [cb_fieldname] substitution tags.

I want to create a tab, that contains in the

Profile edit: the labels and the fields, which can be filled (side by side)
Profile view: the labels and the field content (side by side)

Can you please post a suggestion for that (have a look at the attachment. It shows a simple example for the edit view --> contains the fields to be filled and the profile view --> shows the content of the fields)

CB is not designed for that kind of layout. Profile Edit and Profile View are independant of one another and have their own displays. You can render edit display of a field and view display of a field using substitutions, but there's no guarantee or functionality. See our substitutions tutorial below for usage information.

ok. It's a pitty, but perhaps a suggestion for cb 2.0.

Is it possible to build a tab, which only appears in the profile view, but not in the edit view? Thus I can position the fields in the profile edit view and build with delimiter fields a different custom view in the profile view.
