Display user image and Hi' <username> on the site

Overriding core resources is not exactly the clean way, but of course as a quick and dirty fix it would work.

You don't have to replace core anything. Supply your custom default images to the below location.

components/com_comprofiler/plugin/templates/default/images/avatar/

Now edit your avatar field and select your new images for the "Pending Default" and "Empty Default" parameters under Parameters > Image Display. This feature is available for all image fields. Canvas defaults are supplied to the below location though.

I suppose you could also use CSS to replace their display, but the parameters make this significantly easier and the parameters affect all locations so it outputs naturally.

The avatar in our login module is just our module with the parameters "Show Greeting" and "Show Avatar" set to "Yes" under "Logout Options"
