[SOLVED] CB 1.9 or 2.x?

I keep running into stuff on your website that says not to use CB 2.x on a live site. Is it out of beta? If you click download on the home page it takes you to CB 2.x. Confused on which to use.

CB 2 is stable. In the professional members download section you can find the nightly built, which should not be used unless advised to. The stable version is here: www.joomlapolis.com/downloads/downloads-single-items/doc_details/695-community-builder-204?tmpl=component

latest CB stable release is 2.0.4.

Exactly where did you see that CB 2.x is not to be used on live sites?

Perhaps an old article from the beta/RC days of CB 2.0?

There's several 'beta' versions (which say 2.0 beta 3, 2.0 beta 4, etc.) in 'downloads>developer>archives'... www.joomlapolis.com/downloads/downloads-single-items/cat_view/76-professional-member-download-area/86-professional-downloads-archive

Maybe that's something different. I've seen it elsewhere a while ago, but maybe that's been updated by now.

Yes - the "Archives" areas in download menus are used to store old releases - you should really not be downloading anything from there unless you need an old version for some reason.

This brings up another question... what about a site that's built on CB 1.9... should that be upgraded? I upgraded it on a test domain and there's tons and tons of things that need to be fixed. Would you recommend leaving it in 1.9?
