I have viewed the video and set it all up as you suggest, I can edit most profiles but not the one called HHPS Membership, see attached image.

I assume the original developer set a restriction so that only the Webmaster could edit, but I am not sure where he would have done this, any ideas.

If it is a read only field it can only be edited from backend.

A Moderator editing a user profile from frontend cannot edit readonly fields.

So if I changed them they can be edited, but I assume that the user them selves can edit from their profile view.

Yes, if you want a field to be editable by a moderator only you need to use CB Privacy and set its edit display to be moderator only. Read Only fields can only be edited from backend.
