[SOLVED] Initial Registration Email Issue

[SOLVED] Initial Registration Email Issue was created by playerocity
Hello,

I have configured our CB registration to require email authorization. I have found in configuration where to edit the content and subject of that email, along with the email that is sent upon completion of the authorization. I have configured them and have been testing the system.

When a user registers in our system, the first email is not being generated. A message appears (default message) saying they have been sent an email, if they have not received it to login with the username and password they used while registering to have it resent.

After the user has registered and not received the initial email they follow this step and then they do receive the proper email. I have tested and monitored our outgoing mail server log. The initial email is never generated. Upon attempting to login the email is sent appropriately.

Not sure what do about this initial email? Obviously configuration of SMTP etc is fine because it is working after the initial email.

Thoughts?

Thanks
James

I have looked at everything i can possibly find in the forums. Here are settings I have:

Joomla Registration: Allow user registration: no
Community Builder Configuration/Registration:
Allow User Registration: Yes, Independent of CMS "Allow Registration"
Admin Approval: No
Email Confirmation: Yes
Joomla Server Configuration:
SEnd Mail: Yes
Mailer: SMTP
From Email: my email
From Name: my name
Disable Mass Email: no
SMTP Authentication: yes
SMTP Security: no
Port: 2525
username: my username
passowrd: my password
host: my host

All of this smtp settings work fine. I can send mail through the joomla mass email tool. I also have other modules using this setting that all work fine.

The forgot login works fine for sending mail. After the initial registration email IS NOT received, the user can attempt to login with the username and password entered when registering and it tells the user to check again the email sent. That email IS received. Just not the first email upon initial registration.

I can't get this email thing to work, and I am at a loss of what to do.

Please help.

Thanks.

Within your CBSubs plans check under the Workflows tab to see if you're overriding the confirmation or approval process on a plan by plan basis as this can change the email workflows. To test if it really is CBSubs doing it you can try disabling CB Paid Subscriptions within CB > Plugin Management and try registering to see if the email sends.
