Yes, unpublishing CBSubs does allow the initial registration email to work!

I have not changed the workflow tab at all for the two plans i have available. Is there some particular setting is should look for that would cause this type of behavior?

I went into the two plans and inserted "no" for everything on the workflow tab to test. Tried to register and again no email. The only way i can get emails to come upon initial registration is if i unpublish cbsubs altogether.

What sort of setting do I need to change here to make this work?

Thanks

CBSubs by default won't send the pending email until after payment. Sounds like you're wanting confirm before payment instead of payment then confirmation. For that simply adjust the "Use Email Confirmation" to be before payment for your plans.

Hello,

I have been testing and i found what is part of the issue. I am using cb auto actions to automatically insert the user into our free plan upon registration. I put back the settings for cbsubs and removed that auto action and the email upon registration is now being received.

I am thinking this must not be the way to automatically make a user subscribed to our free subscription area upon registration. Is there another way to do that?

I will try leaving the auto actions subscription and making the change you said to the email confirmation and see if that combination works. Be back momentarily with that answer.

Thanks

Set your free lifetime plan as exclusive and default. Optionally you can make it the parent of all your other plans then hide its row using CSS if you wanted. Alternatively you could use the after confirmation trigger instead of after registration trigger so it can't conflict with the registration workflows.

Ok. that worked. I tried putting the plan set to exclusive and default, and then removed the auto actions which auto registered them into the free plan. However, in this way when the user registered they were not automatically a part of this free plan. So I took your alternative plan which was to change the auto action to perform the subscription to the free plan after confirmation rather than after registration. This enabled the email to be received and when it is confirmed the user is then added to the free plan we have.

This worked. Thank You.
