cb content bot not working

Hi,

i put substitution in the article with the suggested format: {cb}[cb:userfield field="55" /]{/cb} (tried both field id, and field name), but the field value just doesnot show up in joomla content.

when installing my expectation was that it will render fields profile view values in joomla content. also the field i tried to substitute was photo field, and the article - featured uncategorized joomla article - may be any restrictions on field types, or joomla content? ideally i would like to substitute video fields (with linked videos), what i'm doing wrong or missing?

for info i'm running CB 2.0.7, Jommla 3.4.1, and installed content bot 3.0.1

Works for me:

<p>This is a test</p>
<p>This is {cb}[username]{/cb} viewing.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>This is {cb}[cb_text]{/cb} viewing</p>
<p>This is {cb}[cb:userfield field="cb_text" /]{/cb} viewing</p>

Make sure your joomla editor is not breaking the sequence with spans or other crap.

Best to edit the html directly.

If the field isn't showing at all then you likely have a permissions issue. The viewing users needs to be able to access the field attempting to display. This means if I'm not logged in the tab the field is on should be set to Public in order for me to see it. In addition to this CB Privacy for example could also block the fields display.

The tab the field is on is set to public, besides the same field's value shows up on public profile view without problems, i dont have cb privacy installed, and i have TinyMCE as an editor.

it only shows me text between <p></p> tags, and {cb}[username]{/cb} when im logged in as an admin.

doesnot show either {cb}[cb_text]{/cb} or {cb}[cb:userfield field="cb_text" /]{/cb} formats

plus i edit html directly usually...

what else it can be?

Is the plugin published?

i tried all examples, the plugin is published, i can only visible if the user is logged in, in other words each user can see his field's value being displayed in joomla article, if logged in. is that how it should work?
