By default the user used for substitutions is the viewing user. If you want it to substitute based off the author of the article you need to configure CB Content Bot for that within its parameters.

when it's set to author, nothing shows at all, even when im logged in as an admin.
but the most importantly is it any chance that it shows to the non registered site visitors? may be add user id?

It substitutes based off the author of the article. That means the field you're substituting you need access to on the authors profile. The field also needs to be set to display on profile unless it's a raw substitution of [FIELD_NAME].

If you're using latest CB 2.x nightly build then it should as we've fixed substitutions to parse for non-logged in users. Yes, you can specify a specific user id if you want using the user parameter of a substitution.
