Hi -

I've added a "editor text area" field and assigned it to a profile tab. When editing that tab the field shows up with a very generic editor.

How do I make it use an editor like JCE that I have being used in other parts of my front end.

TIA,

On way is to install JCE and make it your Joomla editor of choice.

I have JCE installed and set in the Joomla global configuration as the default editor.

This is the editor global config.

This is the CB Field definition

And this is how it looks on the profile tab in edit mode

Perhaps you have not configured the JCE user profiles correctly?

I believe that by default JCE is not set for frontend registered users.

Yup that did it. I enabled the front end JCE profile and now it works.

Thanks

One other thing though, how can I get ride of the "Article" button on the bottom of the editor box. I don't want the end users browsing through the entire Articles list of the site.

TIA
