CB Connect - error

I believe I was able to get CB Connect to work with FaceBook, but I won't know until my application is approved (could take up to 5 days). I am having the dickens of a time getting CB Connect to work with Google. The Joomlapolis tutorials for CB Connect (Facebook & Google) are out of date and are virtually useless.

I'm getting the following error when I try to register on my site using "Sign in with Google":

Failed to retrieve Google profile. Error: User profile request failed! Google returned an invalid response

Can anyone help me figure out what's wrong and help me fix it?

The cURL request for Google profile data was rejected. Update to CB Connenct 6.0.5 if you haven't already then see if issue persists.

Yes the tutorials are out of date and they will not be updated until I have time to update them, which won't be until after GJ is upgraded. The tutorials however are still relevant. A lot of the sceenshots have changed, but the application configuration parameters are all still named the same. The below HybridAuth guide is also still accurate.

The Callback URL needed for "AUTHORIZED REDIRECT URI" is provided in CB Connect > Parameters > Google > Application.

Please note it can take up to 15 mins for your Google credentials to become active. When configuration your Google credentials please allow for ample time for them to propagate your application to their cached servers (usually takes about 5 mins).

If issue persists then enable debug mode and maximum error reporting in Joomla global configuration and retry to see if any further errors are output. If not check server error log to see if any errors occurred.

I'm embarrassed to have to ask this, but how do I updaate CB Connect? It's not in downloads.

I'm afraid I'm technically challenged. I can not seem to figure this out. I'm going to need some serious hand holding to get both Facebook and Google logins to work.

Facebook had me jump through a ton of hoops before I could submit my app for review and approval. It was ultimately approved but it's not working. I now have this page: www.facebook.com/games/?fbs=-1&app_id=428332293993235&preview=1&locale=en_US

Google continues to return the same error no matter how many times I go through the app submission process and wait 30 minutes for propagation.

These are the only two apps I need to work and was my primary reason for upgrading CB. I did get FB to work years ago in a different site and it still works.

I need help desperately. I could open a ticket and supply credentials if you think you could steer me straight.
