You don't need anything for the two to work together. You can protect downloads using usergroups and assigning those usergroups using CBSubs or CB Auto Actions. You can also use By URL Part protection and protect the download URL if you wanted, etc..

Thanks for responding, as well as for letting me know. Thing is, an error is occurring when I access CBSubs (when I try to create new subscription plans, or try and click on an username in a CBSubs table etc etc). The error message is the same as mentioned in my initial post, and it won't allow me to add/modify new subscription plans etc.
Do you have any idea on how to resolve this? As mentioned, I'm using the latest versions of everything. . .
Just find your CBSubs DocMAN plugin in the CB Plugin Management page and delete it.
AH - so that is what you guys were referring to! I was trying to find it under extension manager - plugin manager ... another one of those "blonde" moments I suppose, especially considering I first went to the CB Plugin Manager anyway before navigating away.
