[SOLVED] CB Activity questions was created by h1f1guy
I'm comparing CB Activity on my site with the example screenshots on joomapolis.com and it seems my activity stream is not showing many of the features from the examples.

As examples when people join/post in groups or create new blog post this is NOT being displayed in the activity stream.

Is there something else I need to install & configure to make this work properly?

You need to install latest CB Auto Actions and publish as many system actions as you need.

Thank you, I will find, download, install, and try that.

So far I like what CB offers in theory but in practice I find the documentation and tutorials really lacking. It seems like there must be a terrific group of programmers there but compared to other paid products these ease of set-up is completely missing. Every step of using CB is like assembling a jigsaw puzzle where all the pieces are the same color... a lot of trial and error.

Yes, I have been using both.

Like I said the CB products seem to be well engineered. From the consumer standpoint is everything seems much more complicated than necessary and functionality is very hit or miss. If feels much more like a freeware or alpha product than a paid product (when compared with other paid web solutions). It is lacking the polish and finish one expects of from a paid product. The functionality that CB promises does not seem to be there "out of the box", instead it is like a bunch of finely crafted lego pieces without any directions. Each block is well engineered and does what it is advertised to do... putting those blocks together and creating a functional website that does all the things shown in the demos is much more of a challenge.

I think CB would do well to partner with a company like RocketThemes or Ecwid who have a firm grasp on how to create powerful products that have a user friendly front end and a friendly and efficient back end. It is clear that so much work has gone into CB but the typical user will never realize the benefits of all that engineering and effort because getting the most out of CB is much more difficult than it needs to be.
