My CB is up to date. I began the installation yesterday in the same order as the video on YouTube. When I got to the "Activity" plugin, the entire screen went white/blank. I have access to the front end but not the back end.
I used FTP and checked the error log on the server. These errors were logged:

Ended up using Akeeba Kickstart to recover my site.

Well I just finished trying the GJ3 installation again. This time the screen went blank again when I came to the "About" plugin. However no additional errors in server log??

I'll wait until you answer before I begin a restore of the site.

Update CB Activity to latest nightly release.

I downloaded the latest CB Activity. Any way to bypass the back end and install these manually? I'll restore the site, and make sure I install the latest CB Activity plug-in.
Are there any other plugin revisions that didn't make the GJ Installation files?

Well, I installed the updated CB Activity module and plugin successfully. I then began again the GJ3 upgrade. I installed the GJ3 module and plugin. When I went to CB to install the plugins and chose the first one GJ About I got the white screen again.

Really need some help with this. Is there anything I can do to get access to the backend again or do I have to keep restoring my site?

Started from site restore again. I noticed that the "Activity" module install did not change the version name and date. Even though it says installed successfully, it doesn't seem to update. So I uninstalled the older "Activity" module. After I installed the newer version, the version number and date remain the same????

This time I installed the module first. When I went to CB to install the plugin, the screen goes white again.

It "crashes" at different installation points. And sadly, I'll be restoring the site one more time tonight. I'd like to be able to use GJ3 but can't seem to get it to work.

Update CB Activity to latest nightly. Then install CB GroupJive 3.0 RC2 nightly. Install the CB plugins first before the Joomla modules. If it's still not working then something else is conflicting and you'll need to enable debug mode and maximum error reporting during install to expose the errors. Once backend is locked only way to get back in is to delete the plugins files or rename the folder directly in FTP. Your issue should not have locked backend though as the stream is never loaded in backend.
