Setting first page after initial login was created by notyooagain
Hi
I have 2 separate plans that I want to set the first page for after the initial login.I have read the info on ensuring the cb first login redirect field is blank and entering the url for first login visit in the cb subs plan which I believe has been done correctly but it does not work for me.
Also I have tried redirecting after the first login using cb auto actions but nothing seems to work. Any ideas as to what am I missing?
I am using Joomla! 3.4.8 and cb 2.0.13 and cb subs 4.0.1
Thanks

First login only triggers when the user has never logged in before. Their last visit date should be blank. So you have to register a new user or empty that value directly in _users database table with each test. Ensure the URL you're using is non-SEF and begins with index.php.

Thanks Kyle
As I am not a programmer can you please explain how to change the individual page that I want to be shown after the initial login to non-SEF as Joomla has them as SEF by default.

Also is it better to use the fields in the cbsubs plans or use cb auto actions for the redirects

Disable SEF entirely, navigate to the page you want to use, copy the URL then supply it as your login redirect URL beginning with index.php. You can now turn SEF back on. The alternative is you need to be familiar with the component and its URL structuring, but it's just easier to toggle SEF.

Also is it better to use the fields in the cbsubs plans or use cb auto actions for the redirects

CBSubs redirects are based off the subscription while CB Auto Actions is based off whatever conditions you decide to apply. So it really depends on your needs. If you want to just in general redirect on first login for anyone then you can specify that within CB > Configuration > Registration and don't need to use CBSubs or CB Auto Actions.

Thanks Kyle very much for your prompt replies. Much appreciated.
What I am trying to do is redirect the first login to a individual Welcome Page for the 2 individual plans which has Google Tags inserted and for Google Analytics to record them as goals.
If I understand you correctly the CB Auto Actions for the redirect would be the better way to go. Is that correct.
